OUR MK ADVANCED FOOTBALL COACHING (AFC) Centre is now in its third year and our Northampton (AFC) Centre is in its second year. In this time 3 boys have signed for Premiership Academies and over 30 others have signed Centre of Excellence (CoE) forms at professional clubs.  We wish all the boys every success with their football career at the professional clubs.

ADVANCED FOOTBALL COACHING (AFC) WHAT IS IT?
The (AFC) players train once a week for an hour and a half, from the first week of school term to the last week of school term. We  arrange a match for each age group on the last week of each term. Players will be selected for an ADVANCED or ELITE team depending on there performance in training and matches throughout each term. The ADVANCED team chosen will play against our other ADVANCED centre whilst the players who have performed to a high standard throughout the term will play for the ELITE team against a professional Academy or (CoE).

DEVELOPMENT
The training and match experience offer players the chance to learn a more technical side to the game and to play at an ADVANCED or  ELITE level. This is an opportunity for budding young footballers to train at the same pace as the players who are developing at pro clubs.

TALENT IDENTIFICATION
We have helped many players fulfil their dreams of improving their ability, and playing and training with a professional club. Academy directors and (CoE) managers from pro clubs frequently visit and coach on our Soccer Schools and Advanced Centres.

LINKS
There are many talented young footballers in the area, but many miss out on the chance to develop their talent and improve with their local clubs or progress on to a professional level. At BackoftheNetfc we have links to many professional and semi-pro clubs in the UK. We have implemented the (PYDS) Progressive Youth Development System for Northampton Town Football Club (NTFC). The system now provides a pathway for players from beginners to advanced and elite talent to progress in to the  NTFC (CoE) our (AFC) Centre players have the chance to impress Academy or  (CoE) coaches in the matches arranged at the end of each term.

COACHES
The first step towards your dream is to train with our coaches, who have all been pro footballers and who hold the highest coaching certificates. Please visit our COACH PROFILES page to see the wealth of experience we have on our great team.
